How do I join ShowChoir?

Register for your FREE taster session by clicking HERE. Once you have attended your free taster session we will email you with details on how to join. Additionally, you can log into your account and buy your membership for your desired choir.

Can I bring a friend?

You are more than welcome to bring a friend, but you must ask your friend to also book a place on the website, so that we have contact details for both of you. This is in case of cancellation or changes to the rehearsal session. You will need individual email addresses, as our database does not accept the same email address for two people.

Do I have to audition or read music?

There is no expectation that our members read music or even are a good singer and we have no auditions. All we as is that you feel enthusiastic about singing and enjoy the experience of ShowChoir.

What is the age limit?

Our membership ranges from 18 through to 90. We allow 11-18 year olds to join an adult choir if they are accompanied at all times by a parent or legal guardian but it is completely at the Choir Leader’s discretion.

What sort of songs do you sing?

Our repertoire includes musical theatre, rock, pop and modern songs ranging from ballads through to up tempo, feel good contemporary songs. All of our songs are arranged by our Musical Director, so you can be sure that they are individual to ShowChoir and tailored to make you sound amazing!

2. How Do I Pay?/My Payments

How much is ShowChoir?

ShowChoir is £25 per month.  This equates to £6.00 per rehearsal.
If you wish to Pay As You Go (PAYG), you can pay on the door at any ShowChoir rehearsal using your Debit or Credit card. It will cost you £7.50 per rehearsal.
Please note, cash will not be taken.

What are the Payment methods?

You can pay for your membership either by Direct Debit (£25 monthly).  You can also choose to pay using Paypal.  Payment can be made online through your members account.

What are the additional fees?

Paypal charges an additional fee of 3.4% + .20p to every transaction
Stripe charges an additional fee of 1.4% + .20p to every transaction
GoCardless (standard Direct Debit) charges an additional fee of 1%  to every transaction

EXAMPLE:  PAYPAL INDIVIDUAL MEMBERSHIP

50 sessions x £6.00 = £300.00 / 12 month = £25.00 per month
Paypal Fee = 3.4% + 0.20p
£25.00 + 3.4% + .20 = £26.05

Fee = £300.00 pa
PP Fee = £52.50 pa
Total = £352.50 pa

Will I get a refund if I don’t attend all the sessions in the term?

We ask for a commitment to ShowChoir and only in exceptional circumstances, with authorisation, would we be able to offer a refund.

3. Do You Offer Discounts?

ShowChoir offers several discounts.

We do offer concessions to *Students (20%),

*Armed Services (20%),

Couples and families with 2 or more immediate relatives in  ShowChoir (50% on 2nd member).

4. My Membership Area

How do I log on to my ShowChoir Members Area?

Type www.showchoir.co.uk into your browser. Click ‘Members’ at the top . There will then be the option to ‘Log in’ – put in your Username (email address) and your Password.

I’ve forgotten my password

To request a new password – click ‘Forgot Password’ on the sign in page. You will receive a link in an email to reset your password – please check your junk/spam box to make sure the email has not been sent there.

How do I change my personal details/email address?

Log on to your account and click on ‘My Profile’ where you can change your details by clicking ‘Edit’. If you change your email address, you will need to contact Head Office who can change your ‘Username’ so that you can log on to your account using your new email address.

5. My ShowChoir Session

Can I attend another choir if I’m not able to get to my usual session?

As a member os ShowChoir, you are welcome to attend any ShowChoir session as a replacement for your usual session or even in addition to to your usual session. In fact, you can attend as many as you wish each week. Just email the ShowChoir Office to let us know so we can let the Choir leader know to expect you.

Why does our choir group have workshops this term?

From time to time, we will need to being certain ShowChoirs or all ShowChoirs together for a rehearsal before a gig.  This is a great way to meet people from other ShowChoirs and also he have a sing with a much bigger group.

How do I move/transfer my membership to another choir?

Just give the ShowChoir office a call and we can make the changes to your membership account. You can contact us either by email (office@showchoir.co.uk) or by phone (07880 315736).

6. Pay As You Go (PAYG)

ShowChoir offers a Pay As You Go system.  You can just turn up to any ShowChoir rehearsal and pay using your Debit or Credit card.

How much is the ShowChoir PAYG system?

ShowChoir Pay As You Go costs £7.50 per rehearsal.

7. Cancelling My ShowChoir Membership

How do I cancel my Membership?
